A woman’s wheelchair stolen Saturday evening in La Crosse was returned to its owner on Monday.

The 20-year-old victim said someone took her wheelchair between 8:30 and 11 p.m. from outside 1401 Vine St. while she was visiting a friend, according to La Crosse police reports.

The custom-made wheelchair is worth $2,000.

The victim reported the wheelchair missing on social media, and it was returned after a member of the public located it on the University of Wisconsin La Crosse campus, police said.

What a lowlife to steal a wheelchair. The appropriate pinishment would be to put this clown in a wheelchair.
