A La Crosse man was cited for disorderly conduct on Christmas Eve after a neighbor witnessed him dancing naked in his window.

A resident told police he was leaving the building at 1900 S. Seventh St. about 11:30 a.m. with his sons, ages 3 and 6, when he saw his naked neighbor open the curtains and knock on the window to get the attention of his girlfriend, who was on her way out of the building, according to police reports.

Police contacted the 34-year-old man, who said he’d had six drinks. He had another in his hand and was drinking from it while talking with the officer.

Asked if he knew why the officer was there, he said, “No, not really.” He was cited for non-criminal disorderly conduct.

When I was just 15 yrs. Old a man use to expose himself every morning in his front window until my friend and I stopped his actions by telling the school counselor. He was probably having a mid life crisis but all is the same people shouldn't expose themselves! But this didn't need front page..clean up the drugs LaCrosse police and tribune by adding drug busts DAILY....front page daily!!!!

Buy a scanner folks. At least 80% of the real crime happening in La Crosse is ignored and buried by the Tribune so you never hear about it. Instead we get this.

And people call the cops for this?

If it was me that was dancing naked in the window I would have been cited for brandishing a deadly weapon. :O

You are correct about the deadly weapon. The women would die from laughing at your excuse that you just came out of the pool.

I can't see how being naked in your own house is a crime?

Non-criminal disorderly conduct, isn't that what Feehan was cited for? Probably for the same reason as Feehan, a week case. Doesn't mean he did anything - or that he didn't either.

JPR: You have to understand that if it is a woman looking through the window it is indescent exposure. If it is a man looking throug the window it is peeping.

good luck proving disorderly conduct from inside his house; seems more of a peeping case by neighbor, especially with his kids in tow. what's wrong with parents these days?

He may be an idiot, but this story does not belong on a frontpage of a newspaper!!! Tribune is getting to be another Enquirer!

Was it technically in the front page of the newspaper. Or are you just upset that it happens to be near the top of their website?

ER, you want hard news? Read the New York Times. The dying print/radio media has no money for lots of hard news reporters. The object of the game is to get eyeballs and ears. Break-ins are common, nobody want to read the boring details. A guy dancing naked, drunk in his window for the benefit of his girlfriend doesn't happen every day. Maybe someday people dancing naked will be common and break-ins will be rare. I guess that would be considered a step forward.

I didn't see from the story whether the news was hard or not.

How is this even news? Homes get broken in to every day in this city (I know from experience)and no one writes a story about that. How about writing stories about the drug problem and not trying to make everyone "feel better" by publishing articles about how crime isn't that bad.

Dido that. I was thinking the same thing about the stray shot new 4th and Adams. Not because it was news, but because it happens weekly, sometimes daily, and yet no one reports on it.

Worse yet is the heroine problem in La Crosse.

Just who is this problem herione? Wonder woman? Batgirl? I know some heroines. They are teachers, doctors, nurses, police, single moms, and none of them are problems.

And what is a dido?

They would have booked him for indecency, but upon "closer examination," there was insufficient evidence?
