Police early Saturday arrested a La Crosse woman for threatening her husband with large knife after they found him outside the couple’s house in his underwear, reports said.
The victim said he fled the house at 1409 Market St. about 5 a.m. after his wife, Munphathanagan Sudarat, dropped his cellphone and knocked its battery out when he tried to call for help, according to La Crosse police reports.
Police located him on the front lawn in his underwear and running shoes before they coaxed his wife from the house with her hands in the air.
He told officers an argument over how to afford prescription drugs escalated when his wife grabbed a knife with a 12-inch blade, reports stated. He feared for his life, he said.
The man also told police his wife slapped him twice and pushed him, according to reports.
She denied pushing or pulling a knife on him, reports stated.
Sudarat, 33, faces charges of disorderly conduct with use of a weapon and intimidation of a victim when she appears in La Crosse County Circuit Court.
