‘Price is Right Live!’ to visit La Crosse Center

Local fans of “The Price is Right” won’t have to fly to California next month to play for the chance to win a new car.

“The Price is Right Live!,” the mobile version of the popular television game show, will visit the La Crosse Center on Nov. 26 and give local residents the opportunity to “come on down.”

Tickets for the traveling game show will go on sale Nov. 1 and can be purchased at the La Crosse Center box office, all Ticketmaster outlets, online at ticketmaster.com or by calling 1-800-745-3000. Prices range from $20.50 to $50.50 depending on location.

“It’s just like you’re in L.A.,” Daniel Hampel, director of marketing and events for the Roberts Group, said. “Same games, same prices.”

The show will last approximately 90 minutes and feature fan-favorite games such as Plinko and Cliffhangers. The Big Wheel will also be available to spin, and contestants will have the chance to compete in the showcase showdown.

The game will headline a special guest host who will remain anonymous until the show.

“The Price is Right Live!” has visited a number of locations throughout the United States but has never journeyed to southwest Wisconsin. The traveling game show has given away more than $10 million worth of prizes over the past nine years and sold more than 1.2 million tickets.

“Everyone who buys a ticket has the chance to be able to walk away a winner,” Hampel said. “It is the real deal.”
