MADISON - The family of quadruple murder suspect Tyrone M. Adair made a public plea Saturday night for him to turn himself in.

"Tyrone we are here for you and we are asking you to turn yourself in immediately," Adair's brother Damien Sundby said. "This needs to come to an end."

Eight of Adair's family members gathered at the West District police station on McKenna Boulevard.

Sundby said "first and foremost our prayers go out" to the victims.

"We're terribly sorry and in a lot of pain right now."

Sundby spoke for less than a minute at the hastily convened press conference, and the family did not take questions from the media. Police also would not comment.

Meanwhile on Saturday, police from three Dane County agencies continued a nationwide search for Adair, 38, who they believe killed his two young daughters and their mothers.

Adair, of the town of Middleton, is considered armed and dangerous, police said. He is suspected of killing Tracy Judd, 33, and Deja Adair, 23 months, and Amber Weigel, 25, and Neveah Weigel-Adair, 2.

"We're continuing to search for him and generate as much attention as possible," Dane County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Elise Schaffer said Saturday.

Judd, who also went by the last name Graser and had been Tyrone Adair's current girlfriend, and their daughter Deja were found stuffed in the trunk of Tyrone Adair's car at an apartment complex in Middleton. Weigel and Neveah were found shot to death in a car in the garage of their Southwest Side Madison home. All the victims were discovered Thursday night.

Tyrone Adair was formally charged Friday with the murders of Judd and Deja.

Schaffer said detectives from Madison, the city of Middleton and Dane County were working on the case and were talking to Tyrone Adair's relatives, friends and acquaintances.

"They're talking to anyone who they believe may know anything about his whereabouts," she said.

Tyrone Adair is black, 5 feet 10 inches tall, 175 pounds, with brown eyes and was last seen wearing a black Northface brand vest, a green long-sleeved shirt (possibly a fleece), camouflage pants, and a baseball-style cap.

He was believed to have been driving a 2007 silver GMC Acadia.
