Fatal crash in Vernon

Bradley L. Sisbach of rural Viroqua died when his truck struck a tree in the town of Hamburg late Wednesday. He became Vernon County's first traffic fatality in 2018.

TOWN OF HAMBURG — A 40-year-old rural Viroqua man died Wednesday night in Vernon County’s first fatal traffic accident of 2018.

Bradley L. Sisbach was driving a pickup truck east on Hwy. K about 11:30 p.m. near Hamburg Ridge Road, in the town of Hamburg, when his truck left the roadway and struck a tree, according to the Vernon County Sheriff’s Department.

He was not wearing a seat belt. He was pronounced dead at the scene by the Vernon County Coroner’s Office. The accident remains under investigation by the sheriff’s department and the coroner’s office.

I just don't get why people don't wear their seat belts in this day in age. What a dumb thing to do! I'm sure he would have survived without any longterm issues had he worn it.
