ONALASKA -- The Upper Mississippi River National Wildlife and Fish Refuge Visitor Center at N5727 County Road Z is hosting the fourth annual Creepy Critters special event for all ages on Wednesday. Costumes are encouraged at the indoor and outdoor event.

The "Tantalizing Tales and Discoveries" program will run from 4 to 7 p.m. in the visitor center. The event includes a presentation by nature humorist David Stokes, face painting and a mock bat cave. Trick-or-treating around a one-third-mile loop on the property will be available from 4 to 7 p.m. The walk will include trivia, storytelling and prizes.

The "The Unhuggables: Animals Nobody Loves" presentation will run from 7 to 8 p.m. in the multipurpose room. The live animal program will be hosted by environmental educator David Stokes.
