MILWAUKEE (AP) — Milwaukee police say a driver wanted in a hit-and-run crash that killed a woman and injured her 13-year-old son is in custody.

The 27-year-old Milwaukee man turned himself in to police Thursday. Forty-three-year-old Monica Hernandez died last Sunday on Milwaukee's south side when a speeding pickup truck collided with the victims' vehicle as they were returning from church.

The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office says the pickup driver was traveling at freeway speeds in a 30 mph zone.
