MENOMONIE, Wis. - The Dunn County Sheriff's Office is investigating the shootings of three horses.
The horses were shot at three separate locations in the towns of New Haven and Sheridan, in northern Dunn County, between 3 a.m. and 5:30 a.m. Sunday, Sheriff Dennis Smith said.
Two of the horses died.
Smith said it appears all three horses were shot from the roadway. Authorities still were searching for a suspect Monday.
