FRIDAY, Sept. 24

  • 10:15 a.m.: Opening Day Parade, from City Brewery Hospitality Center to the South Side Festgrounds
  • 11 a.m.: Opening Day ceremonies on South Side
  • Noon to 2:30 p.m.: Crazy George and Oktoberfest Singers, South Side
  • Noon to 3 p.m.: Oktoberfest 2010 Opening Day postal cancellation on South Side; Swing Crew on South Side
  • 3 to 6 p.m.: Guttenberg Band on South Side
  • 3 to 7 p.m.: Elements Band on South Side
  • 4 to 8 p.m.: Justmann Band on South Side
  • 5 p.m.: Festmaster’s Ball, $45 tickets in advance, La Crosse Center
  • 5 to 8:30 p.m.: Mark Viner’s Elvis Show on North Side
  • 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.: YMCA Maple Leaf Harvest Dinner, tickets $7.50 in advance and $9 day of event
  • 6:30 to 10:30 p.m.: German music on South Side
  • 8 p.m. to midnight: Chasin’ Mason and Brat Pack Radio on South Side
  • 9 p.m. to midnight: Hangfire on North Side

SATURDAY, Sept. 25

  • 7 a.m.: Maple Leaf Road Races
  • 10 a.m.: Maple Leaf Parade, starts at Clinton Street and Copeland Avenue and disperses at Second and King streets
  • 2 to 5 p.m.: Photo contest opens at La Crosse Public Library
  • 2 to 5:30 p.m.: German band on North Side
  • 2:30 to 5:30 p.m.: Swing Crew on South Side
  • 3 to 6:30 p.m.: Mr. Blink on South Side
  • 4 to 7:30 p.m.: Flashback on South Side
  • 5:30 to 8 p.m.: Sellout on South Side
  • 6 to 8:30 p.m.: Highway 16 on North Side
  • 6:30 to 8 p.m.: Festmasters on both grounds
  • 7 to 11 p.m.: Jim Busta Band on South Side
  • 8 p.m. to midnight: The Remainders and Oil Can Harry on South Side

SUNDAY, Sept. 26

  • 7:30 to 11 a.m.: Parade marshal’s pancake breakfast; tickets $4 in advance, $4.50 day of event, North Side
  • 11 a.m.: Ecumenical service Riverside Park; New Odyssey on South Side
  • 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.: Karaoke contest on North Side
  • Noon to 3 p.m.: Oktoberfest postal cancellation available and Oktoberfest Singers; South Side
  • 2 to 5 p.m.: The original Ambassadors LTD will be reunited for a special tribute show to Lindy Shannon, also appearing: The Stingrays, The T-J’s — Jack Roubik, Linda Hall, & Johnny Waleen, Super-phonics — Ronnie Hanson, The Shy Guys — Larry (Ball) Gaulke, The Marauders — Rick “Dr. Rock” Pervisky, The Exchequers — Rick Blomquist, The Fax — Steve Noffke, Today’s Tomorrows — Alex Campbell, South Side

  • 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.: Lederhosen Luncheon, $7.50
  • 11:30 a.m.: Jim Bee Three, New Odyssey, South Side
  • 5 to 8 p.m.: Double Take on South Side
  • 6 to 11 p.m.: Monday Night Football party (Packers vs. Bears), both festgrounds

TUESDAY, Sept. 28

No button required on North Side or South Side festgrounds

  • 9:30 a.m. to noon: German Heritage Day on North Side
  • 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.: Special Fester Day
  • 11:30 a.m.: Gemutlichkeits on South Side
  • 5 p.m.: String Ties on South Side; brewery employee appreciation night on South Side
  • 6 p.m.: Bret Michaels, with opening act The Freezers (sold out) on South Side
  • 6 p.m.: Laff Olympics on North Side
  • 7 p.m.: UW-L Crosse Screaming Eagles marching band on South Side

WEDNESDAY, Sept. 29

  • 7:30 to 9:30 a.m.: Senior Breakfast, featuring “The Lead Balloon Show” with Mike Kearns and Roscoe Short, South Side

  • 7 p.m.: Torchlight Parade, starts at Kane and Gillette streets and ends at St. James and Caledonia streets
  • 8:30 p.m.: Pinsetters on North Side
