This Friday, Feb. 2, is World Wetlands Day.
Huangshan City, China; Kampala, Uganda; Bucharest, Romania; Vientiane, Laos; and La Crosse, USA, have preserved and restored urban wetlands to reduce flooding, improve water quality and promote human health and well-being.
It's no surprise that the theme for WWD this year is, "Wetlands for a sustainable urban future."
Help the Friends of the Marsh celebrate World Wetlands Day and celebrate the La Crosse River Marsh. Meet at 4 p.m. Friday for a guided walk though the marsh.
Bundle up and get your nature fix.
