Referring to the front-page article, "Nation has little love for its Congress (Tuesday's Tribune)," truer words have not been spoken.
It doesn't seem to matter which party you support, most of us feel that the people who are supposed to be working for us are working for themselves.
Some go in with good intentions but soon are consumed by the political system that has been designed to get nothing completed. A one-term system would refocus the people who are there to serve us. And stop focusing on how to get re-elected.
We have lawyers in our government who are writing the laws that we have to abide by. Isn't that the same as having the fox guarding the chicken coop?
As an example, I'm a veteran and when you use me to get re-elected ,you don't belong in politics. Our Veterans Administration has been nothing but exceptionally good to me. If you want our people in government working for us, you need to speak up or accept the status qou.
