When are we going to start protecting our kids? Let's put this question into two timelines.
- Seventeen kids and teachers were killed in a school shooting Feb. 14 in Florida. The days have turned into weeks. Still no bills in our Congress to do something about the slaughter. One down for kids.
- A dog dies in a overhead on a airliner, and guess what. Congress has a bill in five days or so to protect dogs on planes. Plus one for dogs.
Now the kids have marched on Washington, D.C. They have already marched in other places. It doesn't look like they are going to get anything done — at least not soon.
It's minus 1 for kids, plus 1 for dogs.
