These days we are experiencing an exponential slump in leadership in all directions. Weird times -- especially Congress and the presidency.
It seems no one good wants it; the presidency as proven by who we had to vote for. lt’s a thankless job working with Congress. Don't take sides and blame. All of Congress is so enamored in protecting their power structure and serving themselves. We are losing the main concept of American Democracy -- government by the people for the people.
There is complacency. The public who doesn't want to cultivate road rage. But the present administration seems bent on wrecking anything good set up by past administrations. The bottom line seems to be profit now and who we can make richer. Environment be dammed. Make America great means what we have to offer future generations. Don't forget the recession and unpayable national debt -- thanks to Congress and Wall Street.
The solution would be to limit the terms of congressmen and the sacred judges to six years. If you're not doing your job, then you don’t get reelected or appointed. Truly we are talking about the ruling elites.
Trump who rhymes with slump is top of the heap. No better. A person who has been geared all his life to King Profit.
I don’t know how we are to get lawmakers to vote themselves out. If we let them, they can run headlong into the mess they could make for all of us. I remember an old expression, It gets worse before it gets better. I hope there is enough left to get better if the time comes.
