There are many reasons for our communities to support the La Crescent-Hokah school referendum.
The cost of education in America has been supported by taxes on all people.
My children’s education was partially paid for by people who no longer had children in school or never had children.
I want children to be educated and ready to be productive members of society when they graduate from high school whether they go right to work or enroll in further education. Our children will support us with their contributions to Social Security when they are working. We need to see that our children are ready for life beyond high school when they graduate.
The La Crescent-Hokah schools have done an exemplary job of educating our children and need to have the additional financial support to continue to do so. What really matters is what happens in the classrooms. We need well-prepared teachers and well-supplied classrooms.
It is what happens in the classrooms that makes our schools successful.
Please support the referendum to enhance classroom education.
