What columnist Jay Ambrose (Friday Tribune) is not telling you, with all his scripted Republican talking points and fear mongering, is how single payer -- which every developed country uses a form of -- would actually save $508 billion a year in paperwork alone and yes do away with the 20 percent off the top expenses that insurers take for profit without providing one vaccine shot or diagnoses.

And yes the wealthy would have to pay more in taxes after a set limit of $3 million and above. And government would be able to negotiate big pharma prices down significantly.

Ask any doctor what would work better for them. What the Republicans want to sell you is repugnant and disgraceful. All for the mighty donation from insurance bankers and pharma, the biggest lobby in Washington.

Don't just take my word for it. Study other countries that use a single-payer system, such as Canada, Spain, Germany, Sweden, France and 20 others.

There is no other country in the world that allows companies to profit off health care like a parasite. Write your representative in Congress and ask why they insist on letting Medicaid die while increasing premiums on the sick up to $142,000 a year. That's not a typo. Yes, if you get cancer and it spreads, that's what it will be under the plan Congress is trying to pass under your noses.
