EASTLAKE, Ohio (AP) -- Austen Wade had two hits and scored two runs as the Lake County Captains defeated the South Bend Cubs 5-2 in the second game of a doubleheader on Wednesday.

South Bend started the scoring in the first inning. After leading off the inning with a double, Chris Singleton advanced to third on a flyout and then scored on a single by Jared Young.

The Captains tied it up in the second inning when Jose Vicente hit a solo home run.

The Captains took the lead for good in the fourth when Ulysses Cantu hit an RBI double, scoring Wade.

Lake County right-hander Cameron Mingo (1-0) picked up a quality start and the win after allowing one run on five hits over six innings. Opposing starter Jesus Camargo (1-1) took the loss in the Midwest League game after giving up two runs and six hits over four innings.

Singleton tripled and doubled, scoring a run and also driving one home for the Cubs.

Despite the loss, South Bend is 4-2 against Lake County this season.
