Tight end Hayden Rucci announced his commitment to the University of Wisconsin on Twitter early Monday morning, becoming the fifth four-star prospect in the Badgers' eight-member class for 2019.
Rucci, from Warwick High in Lititz, Pa., ranks as a four-star prospect by Rivals and earned three stars from 247sports.
The 6-foot-5, 225-pound tight end chose UW over reported offers from Michigan State, West Virginia, Minnesota, Indiana, Northwestern, Rutgers, Duke, Boston College, Pittsburgh, Syracuse and others.
Offensive linemen Logan Brown and Joe Tippmann, quarterback Graham Mertz and wide receiver Nolan Groulx make up the other four 2019 prospects who were awarded four stars by at least one major recruiting site.
Still more than a year prior to National Signing Day in 2019, the Badgers are already piecing together that class quickly. UW's 2019 class currently ranks third nationally in the 247sports composite team rankings.
