The University of Wisconsin men's hockey team has the Big Ten Conference's third star for the second straight week.
Goaltender Jack Berry was honored by the conference Tuesday for stopping 49 of the 51 shots he faced in last weekend's series at Minnesota.
He made saves on all nine shots in a relief role in Friday's 5-4 loss, then stopped 40 of 42 Golden Gophers shots in a 3-2 victory on Saturday.
Twenty of his saves Saturday were in the third period, and he also stopped a penalty shot in the opening frame.
Badgers forward Seamus Malone was named the league's third star on Nov. 28.
Notre Dame goalie Cale Morris earned the first star for the fourth straight week. He has four shutouts in his last seven games and a 1.27 goals-against average and .963 save percentage during the Fighting Irish's 11-game winning streak.
UW hosts Notre Dame on Friday and Saturday.
Penn State forward Andrew Sturtz was the second star.
