Three of the players have local ties, including Mark Sullivan (Logan High School/Concordia University-St. Paul), Tom Stark (West Salem High School/UW-La Crosse) and Billy Alexander, a former La Crosse Night Train player.
Also signed were former Oklahoma State football and wrestling athlete and Toronto Argonauts (Canadian Football League) player Jahmez Foster, Jamil Abdullah, a junior college All-American at William Rainey Harper College who went on to play at Lindenwood University, and former UW-Eau Claire player Craig Polifka.
The Spartans will hold training camp in February and open play in March.
