The North Dakota State University football team has won four straight games entering Friday’s 7 p.m. FCS semifinal game against Sam Houston State at the Fargodome, and Holmen High School graduate Seth Wilson has provided a spark along the way.

Wilson, who was the La Crosse Tribune’s co-player of the year as a senior, has played six games for the Bison (13-1) and responded with 213 rushing yards on 46 attempts for a 4.6-yard average.

He also has five catches for 65 yards and two touchdowns to go with his first career TD — a 28-yard run in a win over the University of South Dakota.

Wilson caught an 18-yard touchdown pass that led to national attention during Saturday’s 42-10 quarterfinal win over Wofford.

Wilson twisted and turned to make the catch in the end zone and give the Bison a 14-3 lead in the first quarter. He also had a 3-yard catch and carried 15 times for 74 yards against Wofford.
