The UW-La Crosse gymnastics team won the 37th annual Gershon/McLellan Invitational on Friday by putting together a team score of 189.6 and beating UW-Eau Claire (183.75) and Gustavus Adolphus (179.875) at Mitchell Hall.

The Eagles won all four individual events and posted their second-best team score of the season. Their score of 47.775 on the uneven parallel bars is the highest in the five meets they've had.

Senior Amy Enright led the way on the bars with a 9.675 and her fourth victory of the season. Senior Samantha Wiekamp won the vault (9.55), freshman Sam Weyker the balance beam (9.625) and freshman Ellie Beckman the floor exercise (9.75).

Weyker was second on the floor (9.65) and Beckman third on the bars (9.575).

La Crosse competes again Feb. 9, when it hosts Winona State in a 6:30 p.m. meet.
