ABERDEEN, S.D. — The No. 2 ranked Viterbo University volleyball team finished off an undefeated conference season in dominating fashion, sweeping Presentation College 25-21, 25-17, 25-13 Saturday afternoon.

The V-Hawks (32-1, 16-0), who have won nine straight matches, simply overwhelmed the Saints from the start as Viterbo recorded 20 kills in the opening set. A set which they finished with a hitting percentage of .304.

The V-Hawks didn’t let up, finishing the match with a .388 hitting percentage, including an eye-popping .636 in the third set. As a team, Viterbo recorded 54 kills and 46 assists.

Two-time NAIA first-team All-American Natalie Geidel led the way with 19 kills, while another first team All-American, Amelia Grahn, recorded 38 assists.

The V-Hawks showed their all-around strength as the V-Hawks’ defense made life miserable for the Saints. Viterbo had 53 digs while the Saints (19-12, 7-9) finished with just 26 kills and a hitting percentage of .087.

Viterbo will host the lowest seed in the upcoming NSAA Tournament, which still has yet to be determined, on Nov. 10.

SEWARD, Neb. — The V-Hawks started slow, scoring just six points in the first quarter and were never able to recover.

Viterbo (0-4) shot 28.3 percent (17-for-60) from the field, 16.7 percent (3-for-18) from beyond the arc and were outrebounded 47-28. Sophomore Brynn Bozich led the V-Hawks with 16 points on a 7-for-14 effort from the field.

Viterbo is back in action on Nov. 11 when it hosts St. Ambrose as part of the Viterbo Showcase.
