Caledonia’s Owen King passed for 246 yards and 5 TDs as the Warriors beat Pipestone 57-6 to win their third consecutive Class AA state title at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis.

MINNEAPOLIS — The Caledonia High School football team rolled over Pipestone 57-6 Friday afternoon in the MSHSL Class AA state championship game at U.S. Bank Stadium.

It was the third consecutive Class AA state title for the Warriors and the ninth overall for the powerhouse program.

Senior quarterback Owen King passed for five touchdowns — three to Sam Barthel — and rushed for another score for the Warriors (13-0), who held Pipestone to minus 11 yards of total offense.

King completed 18 of 28 passes for 248 yards and rushed for 37. Marten Morem had two interceptions for Caledonia and returned one of them 20 yards to give his team a 6-0 lead in the first quarter.

The Arrows (12-2) touchdown came on a throw back across the field on a kickoff return to cut Caledonia's lead to 12-6.
