The West Salem gymnastics co-op that includes competitors from West Salem, Aquinas and Bangor high schools, is ranked fourth in Division 2 by the Wisconsin High School Gymnastics Association this week.

West Salem's best team score of 135.775 trails Whitefish Bay (139.325), River Falls (138.975) and Mount Horeb (136.375) in the first honor roll released Thursday.

G-E-T/Melrose-Mindoro is 16th (117.8) and the Viroqua co-op 17th (117.55) in Division 2.

Logan/Central (124.025) is 18th and Holmen (122.875) 19th in Division 1.

West Salem's Ellie Tschumper owns the state's best Division 2 performance in the uneven bars (9.45), and teammate Sydney Hammes is fourth in the floor exercise (9.325) and eighth in the all-around (34.3).

Also in Division 2, G-E-T's Lauren Koss is fourth in the vault (9.05).

In Division 1, Logan/Central's Caelen Lansing is tied for the eighth-best performance on the floor with a 9.3.
