TREMPEALEAU — Senior Erin Ericson started slow on at the Trempealeau Mountain Invitational on Tuesday by shooting a 9-over-par (44) on the front nine, but the Onalaska High School golfer found her stroke on the back nine with a 1-under 35 to finish off her day with a 79 to earn medalist honors and lead the Hilltoppers to another victory.

Ericson started the back nine with a bogey but finished the final eight holes with six pars and two birdies.

The Hilltoppers also received a third-place finish from Amber Nguyen (86) to help them finish 28 strokes better than second-place G-E-T (477).

The Red Hawks were led by Madison Schmidt and Megan Larson, who both shot 88 to tie for fourth. Brooke Knutson finished second with an 84 for Westby/Viroqua. Knutson was the leader through nine after she recorded a 40, but in the back nine she bogeyed three of the final four holes to slip back into second place.

Viterbo University commit Kenzie Winker led the way with 11 kills and seven digs to help propel the Vikings to a 25-14, 25-19, 25-17 sweep.

Emily Wall chipped in 10 kills and two aces, while Lizzy Porath had 17 assists. Marissa Kleman had five kills and 22 digs for Logan.

Onalaska 3, Central 2

ONALASKA — Kate Dabrowski recorded 24 digs while sister Elisa Dabrowski totalled 27 assists in Onalaska’s 26-24, 25-16, 19-25, 20-25, 15-13 win over Central (1-4). Senior Emma Gamoke added 27 kills for the Hilltoppers (3-2).

Autumn Paulson led Central with 18 assists that led to 10 kills from Maggie Popp.

ONALASKA — Maggie Roou had seven kills and Channing Manske 16 digs to lead the Tigers (16-6).

Arcadia 3, Viroqua 1

VIROQUA — Cassie Berg led the Raiders’ attack recording 10 kills, 16 digs, and three aces, as Arcadia won in four sets 25-12, 12-25, 25-22, 25-22. Lindsey Sendelbach chipped in eight kills.

For Viroqua (6-8, 0-4) Natalie Waldenberger had eight kills while Claire Anderson 20 assists.

West Salem 3, Westby 2

WEST SALEM — The Panthers prevailed 23-25, 25-20, 25-20, 22-25, 20-18 behind 19 kills and 10 digs from Samantha Thompson, 51 assists from Brooke Bentzen and 29 digs from Sam Olson.

Caledonia 3, Chatfield 0

CALEDONIA — Madisyn Heaney had 14 kills, 10 digs, and two blocks while Adriana Reinhart had 35 assists for the Warriors (7-2, 4-0). Lydia Lange chipped in 13 kills as well.



Holmen 3, Logan 1

Evan Espelien had two second-half goals after Max Biesterveld scored in the first for the Vikings (6-0-2, 4-0-2) at Logan’s Swanson Field. Jackson Lutz stopped five shots for Holmen, and Eli Szymanski scored for the Rangers (2-4).

CALEDONIA — Sophomore Isaac Petersen and junior Alex Boudreau each netted a hat trick, while Andy Lopez added two goals to lead the Lancers (3-3, 2-1).

LA CRESCENT — Senior Maddie Tesch scored a goal in the 5th and 16th minute and recorded one save as the Lancers (6-1, 3-0) overcame Caledonia (0-4, 0-3).


Neillsville Invitational

NEILLSVILLE, Wis. — Tomah’s boys won the 16-team competition behind Trevin Nelson (fifth, 17:46), Caleb Lenning (sixth, 18:13) and Eugene Peterson (seventh, 18:16). Tomah’s girls were led by Hannah Wilcox-Borg and her eighth-place finish in 20:27.



Logan 6, Holmen 1

Enya Szymanski (No. 1 singles) and Tia Endrizzi (No. 4 singles) both improved to 8-2 to help lead the Rangers (2-2).

Central 4, Onalaska 3

The Red Raiders ended Onalaska’s 13-match conference winning streak and became the first MVC team to beat any of its players or doubles teams in a set this season. Caitlyn Knobloch (No. 3 singles) won 6-0, 6-3 to improve to 22-0 overall and 5-0 in the MVC for Central.

Faith Leithold won the No. 1 singles match against Central’s Elise Howard in a 6-0, 6-2 match.


Onalaska Luther 7, Viroqua 0

VIROQUA — The Knights (16-6, 3-0) No. 1 doubles team of Phoebe Christenson and Jenna Wahl defeated Delilah Vance and Emma Kolden to improve to 18-4. Lizzy Hoffe (No. 1 singles) took on Lizzy Hooversten in a 6-0, 6-0 to improve her record to 10-11. Michaela Harbach (12-10) also won her No. 2 singles match 6-0, 6-0 as Onalaska Luther won its 51st straight conference dual.



O/H/A 101, La Crosse co-op 59

Claire Hale, Milena Moit, Alex White and Sayge Stojadinovic finished the 200-yard medley relay in 2 minutes, 5.15 seconds to win. Hale also finished first in the 100 freestyle (59.08) and 100 backstroke (1:05.71) while Stojadinovic won the 50 freestyle (27.27).

Lauren Lansing finished on top in the 200 freestyle (2:06.31) and 100 butterfly (1:05.4) for La Crosse.
