Central High School senior Greg Kohler signed his National Letter of Intent to play football at NCAA Division II Minnesota State-Mankato on Wednesday. He caught 52 passes for 725 yards and eight TDs last fall. He also rushed for four touchdowns for the Red Raiders.

The Caledonia High School football team that won an MSHSL Class AA state championship in November will have six players -- five in football, one in basketball -- on NCAA Division II and III rosters next season after commitments made during Wednesday’s National Signing Day.

Caledonia signings

Caledonia's Mason Staggemeyer (Winona State football), Austin Heim (Saint John's football), Marten Morem (Gustavus Adolphus basketball), Brent Robley (St. Thomas football), Jordan Burg (Minnesota-Moorhead football) and Andrew Goergen (Winona State football) all made intentions official for their college futures during National Signing Day on Wednesday.

Linebacker Mason Staggemeyer and wide receiver Andrew Goergen are among those — Holmen running back Drew Becker included — in the recruiting class for Winona State. Goergen caught 52 passes for 785 yards and scored 12 touchdowns as a senior, while Staggemeyer was key part of an overwhelming defense that held Pipestone to negative yards in the championship game. Becker rushed for 1,501 yards and scored 20 touchdowns despite carrying the ball just 143 times in 11 games.

Caledonia’s Austin Heim will play at Saint John’s (Minn.), Brent Robley at the University of St. Thomas (Minn.) and Jordan Burg at Minnesota-Moorhead.

Onalaska's Noah Skifton signing

Onalaska High School senior Noah Skifton passed for 1,884 yards and 24 touchdowns and ran for 955 yards and 11 touchdowns last fall to help the Hilltoppers earn a share of the MVC championship. He signed a National Letter of Intent to play as a wide receiver for NCAA Division II Minnesota-Duluth on Wednesday.

Drew Becker signs

Holmen High School senior Drew Becker rushed for 1,501 yards and scored 20 touchdowns as the Vikings went 8-3 in the fall. He signed his National Letter of Intent to play football at NCAA Division II Winona State on Wednesday.

Onalaska’s Noah Skifton made official his previous announcement to play wide receiver at Minnesota-Duluth, and Central’s Greg Kohler confirmed his announcement this week to play at Minnesota State-Mankato. Kohler caught 52 passes for 725 yards and eight TDs and rushed for four touchdowns for the Red Raiders.

Caledonia senior Marten Morem also signed Wednesday to play basketball at Gustavus Adolphus (Minn.).
