WARRENS — Daniel “Lil Joe” J. Robinson, 64, of Warrens died unexpectedly Sunday, Jan. 14, 2018.

He was born Feb. 5, 1953, to Albert and Martha (Rosson) Robinson in Alabama. In 1982, Joe was united in marriage to Beverly Hughart. For over 20 years, Lil Joe drove truck, most recently for Tomah Transit. He also worked for the Rezin Cranberry Marsh during the cranberry harvest season.

Lil Joe loved to tinker on all kinds of things; cars, small engine motors, lawn mowers and just about anything else he could get his hands on. During the summers he could be found out on the golf course or throwing out a line to fish, and in his younger years he would grab just about anyone and drag them out on the dance floor. He also was an avid reader and enjoyed sci-fi movies. He had a colorful sense of humor and charismatic personality. He loved to share stories with friends and family. He will be remembered for having a good soul and forever finding the joy in life.

He is survived by three children, Kim (Geoff) Hahn of Lone Rock, Joey Robinson and Tim (Jennifer) Robinson, both of Illinois; six grandchildren; his father, Albert; his siblings, Sandy (Rodney) Tucker of Florida, Wayne of Ohio, Steve (Lynda) of Warrens, Bruce (Anna) of Warrens, Scott (Tammy) of Warrens and Julie (Brian) Dalton of Illinois; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Martha.

A prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 17, at the Sonnenburg Family Funeral Home, 801 E. Monowau St., Tomah. Pastor Robert Streeter will officiate. Relatives and friends are invited for a time of visitation from 4 p.m. until the time of the service Wednesday at the funeral home.
