One man was injured in a single-vehicle crash Feb. 7 in the town of Little Falls.

According to the Monroe County Sheriff's Office, a vehicle driven by 17-year-old Riley Law of Melrose was eastbound on Hwy. 71 when the vehicle started sliding on the snow-covered road. The vehicle entered a ditch, struck a driveway culvert and overturned.

Law was able to exit the vehicle on her own and was transported by Sparta Ambulance for non-life threatening injuries.

A number of passersby stopped to help until emergency personnel could arrive on scene. Also assisting the Sheriff’s Office and Sparta Ambulance were Sparta Area Fire District, Cataract First Responders and Monroe County 911 Communications Center.

The crash remains under investigation by the sheriff’s office.
