A 39-year-old Tomah man has been referred to the Monroe County District Attorney for sexual assault of a child.

Allen Jason Robinson is accused of sexually assaulting a girl that police believe was seven or eight years old at the time. Authorities interviewed the girl, now 15, in April.

According to a Tomah Police Department report, she recounted incidents in which Robinson “napped” with her on a couch five or six times and that Robinson reached inside her pants. Police conducted a sexual assault investigation in 2014 against Robinson that resulted in no charges.

Police asked the girl about any other incidents with Robinson that made her feel uncomfortable. She told police of a recent incident when she had complained of back pain and that Robinson volunteered to rub Icy Hot on her. The girl said she removed her shirt and bra and wrapped a towel around herself. She said Robinson rubbed her back longer than necessary to apply the Icy Hot and that his hands touched the sides of her breasts.

Robinson told police his contact with the girl had been “minimal” since the 2014 investigation. He reportedly told police he has a disorder in which he has “sex in his sleep” and acknowledged a single incident in which he touched the girl’s breast while they shared a couch. He denied ever reaching in her pants. He acknowledged rubbing Icy Hot on the girl but denied sexual contact occurred.
