A meeting for any individuals, contractors or businesses interested in participating in the Tomah High School Construction Advisory Council is scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 22 at 6 p.m. in the woodshop classroom at Tomah High School.
The meeting agenda will include a review of the bid packet for the three one-bedroom-unit apartment complex that will be built at 436 Arthur St. as part of a partnership between the city of Tomah and the Tomah High School building trades class.
Bid packets will be available at the meeting; however, interested bidders do not need to attend this meeting to submit a bid and can request a bid packet by contacting Rachel Muehlenkamp, city of Tomah-CDBG office: 107 E Milwaukee St., Tomah 54660; phone 608-374-7455; e-mail: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Preference in the bidding process will be given to contractors willing to allow students to observe work being completed.
Anyone interested in being part of the project is welcome and encouraged to attend. The woodshop classroom is located on the west side of the high school.
