A workshop for individuals interested in running for the Tomah School Board is scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 7 from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at the district office, 129 W. Clifton St.
Potential candidates will receive information on how to have their name placed on the ballot for the Feb. 20 spring primary and the April 3 spring election. A copy of the Wisconsin Association of School Board Guide for Candidates will be handed out.
Tomah Area School District policy dealing with the powers, philosophy and membership of the Board of Education will also be reviewed, along with current board members sharing their perspectives on what makes school boards operate most efficiently and effectively.
Anyone who is considering running for the Tomah School Board is encouraged to attend the meeting.
