Myron Buchholz, Democratic challenger to incumbent Democrat Ron Kind in the Third Congressional District, has hired Jodie Arnold, Chippewa Falls, as his campaign manager.
Buchholz, who first announced his candidacy in February, looks forward to working with Arnold.
“I’m thrilled we’ll be working together, moving this campaign forward,” Buchholz said. “She’s a great asset to our team.”
Arnold began working on political campaigns back in 2002, when she acted as Western Wisconsin media coordinator for the Howard Dean presidential campaign. More recently, she’s been a volunteer for the Bernie Sanders presidential campaign.
Arnold said she’s ready to take her political work to a campaign on a more local level.
“I first met Myron during my work on the Dean campaign, then I heard him speak at a Bernie Sanders event, and knew instantly I’d be involved in the campaign somehow,” Arnold said. “He’s a champion of Bernie’s political platform, he’s smart, and will represent the Third Congressional District fairly. It’s time for Ron Kind to answer to his votes on the war and unfair trade policies and retire from politics.”
