Several new staffers will be joining state Senate Democratic leader Jennifer Shilling, D-La Crosse in her legislative office for the upcoming 2017-18 session.

Danielle Williams, a veteran legislative aide who works for Sen. Julie Lassa, D-Stevens Point, will join Shilling’s office as the policy director. Williams has over a decade of experience in Lassa’s office. Lassa will leave the legislature in January after losing her re-election bid Nov. 8.

Katie Iliff, who most recently worked for the state Senate Democratic Committee and previously worked in the State Assembly Sergeant-at-Arms Office, has been hired as a policy analyst.

Steven Worley, a former Shilling intern who most recently worked for the State Senate Democratic Committee, will serve as the constituent relations director.

Kara Pennoyer, Tony Palese and Kate Constalie will continue in Shilling’s state capitol office, and Taylor Goodine will continue in the La Crosse district office.

Shilling returns to the state Senate after turning back a stiff challenge from Republican Dan Kapanke. She retained her seat by 64 votes after a recount.

Shilling’s 32nd District includes the towns of Angelo, Adrian, Tomah, Leon, Wells, Ridgeville, Wilton, Portland, Jefferson, Sheldon and Wellington and villages of Norwalk, Wilton, Melvina and Cashton in Monroe County.
