The Tomah Area Historical Society will present a dinner play Golda Meir—The Journey Home Sunday, Nov. 19 at 6 p.m. at The Ground Round in Tomah.

Actress Jessica Michna portrays the life of Meir, who was born in Ukraine, raised in Milwaukee and traveled a path that led her to become prime minister of Israel.

This play, developed by Michna, explores the life that took Meir through three continents and how she overcame the roadblocks and detours that stood in her way before serving as prime minister from 1969-74.

Michna, recipient of the Presidential Service Center’s Distinguished Service Award, has become known for her portrayals of First Ladies, notable women of history and fictitious characters.

The cost is $25, and reservations are required with payment in advance. Reservations can be made by mailing the Tomah Museum, 1112 Superior Ave., Tomah, WI 54660, or call 608-372-1880 for more information.
