A 20-year-old Tomah man was referred to the Monroe County District Attorney for an alleged sexual assault of a 16-year-old girl in a city of Tomah residence Nov. 21.
The girl told police that Cole Thomas Williams took her to his apartment and raped her. She said she had become intoxicated to the point of nausea and was dropped at Williams’ residence by another acquaintance. She said Williams took her to a bedroom and began kissing her on the lips. She told Williams “no” and “stop taking advantage of me,” but said Williams responded, “This is the only chance I am ever going to get.” She said Williams conducted sexual intercourse on her for “four to five minutes.”
Police recovered text messages between Williams and the girl in which he reportedly admitted to “feeling gross” and promised “that it will never happen again.”
During an interview with police, Williams at first denied any sexual contact with the girl but reportedly changed his story to admit kissing her, rubbing her legs and touching her breasts over the top of her clothing. He denied sexual intercourse took place.
Williams was referred for having sexual intercourse with child 16 or 17 years old.
