State Rep. Amy Sue Vruwink, D-Milladore, will hold an inaugural ceremony and open office hours in Sparta Monday.

The inaguration will be 11:30 a.m. at the Sparta City Council Chambers, 201 W. Oak St., Sparta.

“The big inauguration ceremony in Madison is a nice event, but I want to be able to share this occasion with my constituents who can’t make it down to the State Capitol,” said Vruwink.

Monroe County Circuit Court Judge Todd Ziegler will administer the oath.

“I am honored that Judge Ziegler, the most senior of the Monroe County Judges, will be participating in the ceremony. Northern Monroe County and parts of Jackson County are new to my district. I’ve met some wonderful people in the community since in the past year, and I hope to see many of my new constituents in Sparta on Monday,” said Vruwink.

Additionally, Vruwink will hold office hours from 1 to 2 p.m. at Dorine’s Family Inn, 110 S. Water St., Sparta, following the ceremony.

“I will regularly be holding office hours in Monroe County before heading to Madison for Assembly work. Any of my constituents can meet with me about any state issue, and I’ll take their concerns to Madison with me,” she said.
