The Tomah High School boys varsity reserve boys basketball team claimed its third straight blowout victory with a 58-37 nonconference triumph over Wisconsin Rapids Tuesday at Tomah High School.

Coach Tom Tardiff’s team improved to 3-0. The Timberwolves have beaten their first three opponents by a combined 85 points.

The Timberwolves led 31-19 at halftime and stretched the advantage to 28 points before Wisconsin Rapids ended the game with a 7-2 run.

Carson Lindauer and Kade Gnewikow shared high-scoring honors with 14 points each. Lindauer drilled four 3-pointers and scored all of his points in the first half.

Isaiah Nick added seven for the Timberwolves, followed by Jalen Figgins with six, Justin Gerke with five, and Avyon Adams, Charlie Ella and Tyler Torkelson with four.

The Timberwolves open the Mississippi Valley Conference season Friday, Dec. 15 with a trip to La Crosse Logan. Tipoff is 5:45 p.m. at Logan High School.
