The Tomah High School varsity reserve boys basketball team won four more recent contests, including three Mississippi Valley Conference matchups.

The Timberwolves defeated MVC rival Sparta 49-25 Jan. 5. Tomah led 29-19 at halftime and allowed Sparta just six points in the second half. Isaiah Nick led Tomah with 10 points.

On Jan. 12, Tomah held off a late Onalaska rally to secure a 58-53 victory. Tomah led 36-19 at intermission and survived a flurry of six Onalaska 3-pointers after halftime. Charlie Ella led Tomah with 20 points. Kale Gnewikow scored 13, and Justin Gerke added seven.

Gerke was Tomah’s leading scorer in a 56-46 nonconference victory at Portage Jan. 16. Ella scored 12 of his 14 points in the second half, and Gnewikow scored all seven of his points in the first half.

The Timberwolves returned to MVC action Friday and routed La Crosse Aquinas 54-29. Nick led the Timberwolves with 14 points, followed by Gnewikow with 12 and Avyon Adams with nine.
