The Tomah High School gymnastics team reached new heights on the vault Saturday. Four girls achieved personal highs on the apparatus, which vaulted the Timberwolves past the 100-point mark at the Viroqua Invitational Friday at Viroqua High School.
Tomah scored 102.225 points and finished seventh in the eight-team field.
Lily Stewart, Kalecia Kolinski, Madison Tesar and Hannah Hogan all scored personal records. Hogan scored an 8.15 and finished 10th, which was Tomah’s highest place in any event.
Hogan was also Tomah’s top performer on balance beam with a 6.975.
It was a big day for Hogan, who competed on the uneven parallel bars for the first time and registered her first all-around score. She was Tomah’s top all-around competitor with a 26.6.
Stewart produced Tomah’s top performance on bars with a 5.425, and Sara Peardot led the Timberwolves in the floor exercise with a 6.25.
Kalecia Kolinski was Tomah’s only other all-around performer. Her four event totaled 24.525. She added two new skills to her bars routine to achieve a personal best.

Tomah competes at the third MVC meet of the season Tuesday in La Crosse. That’s followed by a 16-day break in competition before the five MVC teams meet in Tomah Thursday, Feb. 8.
