MENASHA, Wis. — Michael E. Hinkel (Polsean), 58 of Menasha, passed away unexpectedly in his home Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2017.He was born to Ervin and Donna Nov. 12, 1958, in Dubuque, Iowa. He was raised by Donna and Marc Polsean.

Mike was a proud family man and served his country in the U.S. Air Force. He was an avid Packers, Brewers and Badgers fan. Mike was a carpenter and enjoyed gardening, woodworking, bowling and spending time with family and friends. He loved his animals, Faith, Colt, Honey, Lucy and June.

Mike survived by the love of his life, Carol; two sons, Gregory (Shyana) and Josh; two daughters, Christina and Jaime; grandchildren, Zander, Jackson and LillyAnn; parents, Marc and Donna Polsean; brother, Marc (Gretchen) Hinkel; sisters, Debbie (Bob) Jacobson, Linda (Brian) Volden, Angel (Arnold) Hatfield, Michelle (Cory) Primmer, Karla Martin, Sharon (Larry) Hooverson, Amy (James) Lortz; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Preceded in death by his father, Ervin Dale Hinkel; grandparents, George and Virginia Hinkel, Donald Herring, Tilden and Bernice Polsean; sister, Wendy Lou Hinkel; nephew, Zachary Hooverson; and four-legged family, Hopey and Lucky.

A memorial service for Michael Hinkel will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 4, at Homestead Meadows, W7560 Spencer Road, Appleton, Wis., 54914.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established.
