FOLSOM, Wis. — Norma Hooverson, 86, of Folsom passed away Sunday, Aug. 27, 2017, at Gundersen Health System in La Crosse surrounded by her family who loved her so very much.
She was taken too soon from her family and friends but we’re here to celebrate her life that was full of love every day from her three sons, Danny (Nancy) Hooverson, David (Julie) Hooverson, and Larry (Sharon) Hooverson; and her daughter, Mary (Doug) Weed; her precious grandchildren, Tony (fiancee Melissa) Hooverson, Tyler Hooverson, Zachary Hooverson, Meagan (Tim) Bauer, Adam and Robbie Weed; she was also blessed with two beautiful great-granddaughters, Isabelle and Lillian Bauer, plus two more, one due in December, and one due in March.
She lived her life for her family, friends, neighbors, and her beloved church family. She loved to garden and always shared its bounty with anyone who crossed her path. She loved to mow her yard (no weeds allowed), and tend to the cattle and her and grandpa’s dog, Puggy.
She was met at heaven’s door by her loving husband of 67 years, Maurice; her grandson, Zachary; brother, Otto Briggson; two infant sisters; her parents, Ole and Nettie Briggson; and her aunt and uncle, Alma and Joe Reseland.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 1, at Kickapoo United Lutheran Church at Folsom. Pastor Chuck Miller will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the Sime Funeral Home in Readstown on Thursday, Aug. 31, from 4 P.M. until 6 P.M. and on Friday at the church from 10 A.M. until time of services.
