LA FARGE — Robert “Bob” O. Phinney, 65, of La Farge passed away Monday, Sept. 11, 2017, at Vernon Memorial Hospital.

He was born April 27, 1952, in Viroqua, to Arnold and Elfrieda (Egge) Phinney. Bob was raised in Viola and graduated from Kickapoo High School.

He worked at Reeds Market as a butcher for several years before closing. He also worked at Nelson Muffler for over 20y years. Bob enjoyed watching the Green Bay Packers, spending time with his family and friends at Phinney Punland.

Bob is survived by his son, Tony (Dawn) Parr brothers, Jerry (Tina) Phinney, Alan (Jaime) Phinney, Kenny (Karen) Phinney several grandchildren nephews, nieces, other relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arnold and Elfrieda Phinney maternal grandparents, Olaf (Emma) Egge and paternal grandparents, Robert W. (Irene) Phinney and infant grandson, Anthony Parr.

Funeral services weree held at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 22, at the Viola Cemetery. Friends called during a visitation from 10 a.m. till 11 a.m. Friday at the Vosseteig Funeral Home’s Henthorn Memorial Center. A Luncheon will follow at the Viola American Legion.
