Two Boscobel residents were injured in a one-vehicle accident at about 9:30 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 11, on Hwy. 61 south of Readstown.
The accident happened when a pickup truck being driven by Clyde R. Guist, 55, was traveling north on Hwy. 61 and because of the freezing rain and slippery roads, Guist lost control of the vehicle and traveled over an embankment, causing his vehicle to roll over, according to the Vernon County Sheriff’s Office. Guist was taken to Vernon Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
A passenger in the vehicle, Jennifer A. Guist, 31, was also injured. Jennifer Guist was also taken to Vernon Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Clyde Guist and Jennifer Guist were both wearing their seat belts.
The Readstown Fire Department and Readstown EMS assisted at the scene. The crash remains under investigation.
