A Genoa man was taken to a La Crosse hospital for non-life-threatening injuries after a single-vehicle crash at about 10 p.m. Oct. 11 in the town of Genoa.
Robert M. Ziegler, 61, of rural Genoa, was operating a vehicle east on Malin Road near the village of Genoa. The vehicle went off the right side of the road, while negotiating a curve to the left. The vehicle traveled down a steep embankment and came to rest against a tree, according to the Vernon County Sheriff’s Office.
Ziegler was taken to Gundersen Health System by Tri-State Ambulance.
The Genoa Fire Department and Genoa First Responders assisted at the scene. The crash remains under investigation.
