No one was injured in a two-vehicle crash at 4:48 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 3, at the intersection of Hwy. 27 and Hwy. P in the town of Christiana.
Kathy A. Clark, 47, of rural Westby was driving a west on Hwy. P. Clark, who had stopped at the stop sign, started to make a left turn onto Hwy. 27 when she failed to see a northbound vehicle driven Justin E. Erdman, 17, of Westby. Erdman swerved into the southbound lane in an attempt to avoid the crash, however Clark’s vehicle struck Erdman’s vehicle in the passenger side rear door, causing it to spin out of control. Erdman’s vehicle came to rest on the southbound shoulder, according to the Vernon County Sheriff’s Office.
There were no injuries reported at the scene. Both drivers were wearing their seat belts.
Westby Police Department assisted at the scene. The crash remains under investigation.
