A rural Viroqua man was taken to the hospital after an ATV accident at about 6:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 10, on private property off of Cherry Grove Road in the town of Viroqua.
Morgun G. Oldham, 20, of rural Viroqua, was operating an ATV on private property when he hit a large boulder and lost control. The ATV overturned, landing on Oldham and came to rest on the wheels. Oldham was taken by ambulance to Vernon Memorial Hospital with injuries and later flown to Mayo in Rochester, Minnesota, to be treated. Head or eye protection was not worn, according to the Vernon County Sheriff’s Office.
The Department of Natural Resources, Viroqua Fire Department and Tri-State Ambulance assisted at the scene. The accident remains under investigation by the Sheriff’s Office.
