Vernon County authorities are seeking information on vandalism done to mailboxes in the rural areas of Stoddard, Genoa and De Soto.

According to the Vernon County Sheriff’s Department, several mailboxes were smashed either Tuesday, Feb. 25, or Wednesday, Feb. 26, along Hickory Ridge Road, Hwy. 162, Wing Hollow Road, Worman Road, Ghelf Lane, Malin Road, South Bad Axe Road and Eckert Lane. Authorities believe a baseball bat could have been used to cause the damage.

On Elm Drive in Stoddard, a vehicle had its tires slashed.
