The Viroqua City Council passed a resolution to approve the sale of the former library building at 118 E. Jefferson St. at its regular meeting, Tuesday.

In December, the City Council accepted Reid Doerr’s bid of $175,000.

Lori Polhamus, the city’s clerk/treasurer, said Tuesday’s resolution was requested by the title company to state the City Council was “on board” to sell the property and accept the offer. The closing was set for Thursday.
