The Viroqua Fire Department will hold fire extinguisher training for adults. Classes will be offered Oct. 11 at 1 p.m. and Oct. 14 at 11 a.m.
The free course, which will be taught by Assistant Fire Chief Dick Wallin, is for small businesses and citizens who would like to have a chance to learn the proper way to use a fire extinguisher. By the end of the hour-long class, participants will know the types of extinguishers and will use one to put out a real fire.
The fire department will hold its open house Oct. 14 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The fire station is located at 702 E. Broadway St.
